Our Story

In the beginning…there was a livingroom.

In a Round Rock living room, King of Kings held its first meeting on January 23, 1980. The first official service was held two months later in the choir room of Round Rock High School with 56 people present. Shortly thereafter, King of Kings moved to its temporary home at the Montessori School of Round Rock, where it stayed put until May 1982.

And then there was a building.

After breaking ground and building a brand new sanctuary, 186 King of Kings’ members celebrated their permanent place of worship during a dedication service on June 6, 1982.

The church membership and its building continued to grow with the addition of a “Mother’s Day Out” program in 1986. The program became a day care center when the facility was expanded in 1997.

And there was growth.

Since then, the day care center has grown into a licensed pre-school named the Children’s Learning Center (CLC) and King of Kings is now blessed with more than 650 members.

And the work continues.

In 2007, King of Kings kicked off a campaign to improve the property and enhance its worship facilities. Members are full of anticipation as they watch the refreshing changes taking place in the sanctuary and throughout the premises.
