ADULT MINISTRIES

Whether you’re young or young at heart, single or married, there’s something for everyone in our church family. We invite you to check out our Bible studies, service or fellowship opportunities at any time during the year. All offer a great way to explore God’s Word, develop relationships and make valuable contributions with your God-given gifts.

LIFE GROUPS

We love to connect with and learn from the King of all kings. This happens in church on Sunday mornings and when we gather around God's Word in fellowship. We invite you to join one of our Life Groups and connect with each other and with God as He strengthens your faith through His Word.

Life Groups provide each person in King of Kings a place to grow, to connect, to encourage and be encouraged, and to serve. It is in the company of other believers that God calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies us. He builds our faith, causing it to grow through the mutual study of His Word. It is in community that life's problems become manageable. We lean on each other for ideas, support, and encouragement. And as a community, it is easier to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ and the people we call family, friend, neighbor, and stranger, giving them a firsthand account of God's good work in our lives.

Because we have different kinds of people, there are different kinds of Life Groups. Most of our Life Groups are Bible study orientated, studying topics found in Scripture or going through a book in the Bible. Some groups are focused on outreach, and others are simply about spending time together fellowshipping with other Christians. Many of our groups dedicate some time to fellowship and serving others along with studying God's Word.

There are 11 wonderful Life Groups scheduled for this Fall! They will run from September 11 to November 19. Please take a look at the Life Group offerings and sign-up for any that best suits you.

Gratitude: Giving Thanks in Life’s Ups and Downs

Leaders: Judy Pluenneke, Terry & Karen Bloemker

Time: 10:30 am

About: In the challenges of daily life, it’s easy to put showing gratitude low on our priority list. Yet Scripture continually reveals how important gratitude is for God’s people – in good times and bad. In this study we will explore how giving thanks reminds us of what God has done, reorients us around God’s grace, and helps us enjoy good gifts instead of taking them for granted. Gratitude encourages us to grow in trust and joy as we hold tight to God’s goodness in life’s ups and downs.

No More Excuses

Leader: David Canales

Exploring examples of men of God throughout the Bible, this study will challenge you to lay down your excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be a man of character and commitment. Despite your setbacks, failures, and pressures, you can still find purpose, meaning, and direction in life and become the man God has called you to be.

THURSDAY

Meant for Good – A Study of Joseph

Leaders: Judy Pluenneke & MaryAnn Gill

Time: 9:30 am

About: It almost sounds unfair how Joseph had to wait twenty grueling years for God put His plan with Joseph into motion. That same unfairness can seem to seep into our own lives. Even while living through struggles and turmoil, we can cling to the understanding that God means our lives for good.

Meant for Good will lead you through the grand story of Joseph in eight weeks as he faithfully waits for God's plans to come together. In this women's Bible study, uncover how these struggles, woven together into a rich narrative of hope and faithfulness, showcase our need to let God's love and forgiveness lead before our own selfish wants. You'll see that trusting God to use your life for good allows you to be brave and bold in your faith.
