Mission Statement:
As a ministry of King of Kings Lutheran Church, the Children’s Learning Center is dedicated to providing a Christ-centered environment in which children can grow, learn, and play.

We opened our doors as a Mother’s Day Out program in 1986, with three small classes. Over the next years our program grew and the needs of our families changed. As a reflection of our change and growth we changed the name of our program to The Children’s Learning Center. As we continued to grow we found a need for licensing through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. We were granted our license in 2001 and have continued to grow in God’s love.

Non-Discriminatory Policy:
King of Kings Children’s Learning Center does not discriminate as to race, religion, sex, or handicap. We welcome all children and plan to meet the needs of each and every child in our center.

The Children’s Learning Center teachers use a redirection and positive guidance approach with the children. Time out is not utilized in our facility; however the teacher may ask the child to step away from a situation in order to calm down or to think of a better way to approach the situation. A child is never asked to sit in a corner, on a time out chair, or to remain away from the group for any length of time.

Children will need to bring their lunch and drink.

A typical day is filled with love and fun. Children are guided through both child initiated and teacher directed activities. The children enjoy many activities including story time, creative art, music, recess, alphabet, colors, numbers, and shapes. CLC uses; Handwriting Without Tears, Phonemic Awareness curriculum and Kindergarten readiness program.  Children attend Chapel & Music on a weekly basis.
