Caring for a Loved One Living with Dementia Seminar

Featured Speaker: Maresha Eshiet, Owner of Homewatch CareGivers of Austin

January 13- Understanding Dementia & Communication-Learn to understand how your loved one perceives the world, with every action and word being a meaningful form of communication through THINK PEACE.

February 10- Day in the Life of Someone with Dementia-Understand your loved ones' perceptions and adjust home environments to minimize stressors (such as bright lights and loud noises).

March10- Enhancing Daily Life for Those with Dementia-Learn about care that focuses on abilities, celebrating achievements, and creating routines, while promoting overall wellness and well-being.

April 14-Support for Family and Spouse Caregivers-Support when you are the caregiver for your loved one. Talk about the journey of your self-care, communication adjustments, and spousal support groups.

Caregivers will attend the seminar while their loved ones living with dementia enjoy engaging, professionally led activities in a separate, supervised setting. This allows you to focus fully on learning and self-care, knowing your loved one is safe, supported, and meaningfully engaged.
